car trouble « iFish.

I’m having some car trouble. It’s making this horrible grinding noise when at under 1000 rpms, but not all the time. I’m hoping it’s not the transmission. Cause mama can’t afford a new tranny. I’m dropping it off at lunch today and catching rides till it gets fixed. Which has to be by Thursday as Nana has appointment. But onto yarn. I think I mentioned my sister going to San Diego this past week, and how she was going to get me some yarn. Well, I got a text from her in the Chicago airport (10 hour layover – poor baby) and she said, “I bought you 50 dollars worth of yarn and you better like it”. Whoa. I did not expect that much yarn. In fact, I figured when my sister saw how much yarn cost (good yarn, not retail crap) she was going to run away, and I was going to get an angry phone call. But nope, I got a boat load of yarn. I don’t think I’ll see her till this weekend, but I’ll post the pictures when I get the yarn. I did the heel on my sock last night. I followed the directions and even though the double wrapped short rows were weird, I finally think I figured them out. I do have two holes on either side, and after looking at the directions again, they suggested picking up a stitch and then decreasing on the next row. I totally missed that, I’ll have to darn it closed, which isn’t a problem, just a pain. I also totally spaced on using the coordinating nylon thread. Which sucks, but it’s already 25% nylon so I’m not that stressed.
